But it wasn’t just validation, they also uncovered insights that will shape the direction of the brand. “We have a problem to solve around people perceiving our brand as just spicy… which was highlighted through the verbatim. This key consumer insight has helped strategically drive our calendar to focus more on non-spicy products.”
Before Ideally, Oporto’s testing involved store trials with customer and staff feedback. Now, they’re excited about earlier-stage validation. “We want to test even earlier… before you even develop the product. Ideally, it’s at that concept stage where we validate with consumers first.”
Jasmin said the platform setup was quick and easy: “What takes the most time is the client working out what they want to test and finalising the concepts…but uploading the content and running the rest is super quick, you get an overnight read.”
More than just speed, the platform is now helping to settle internal debates. “What I’m hoping to use this platform for in the future is when there’s a lot of opinions in the room… I can come to the table the next day and say, “hey, we’ve just asked 400 consumers overnight, and here’s what they want.”
